Learning Poker And A Lot More In Las Vegas

Oct 22nd, 2011 Andre Milankovich

Honestly, who never dreamed of visiting the gambling Mecca called Las Vegas? I would be a hypocrite if I would tell you that I don't dream of visiting Vegas at least once in my lifetime. Being someone who has never ever played poker, it would be such a great experience to learn to play poker in Las Vegas. Maybe I can get lucky and win on my first try. I believe in beginner's luck when it comes to games of chance. I have tried playing some games for the first time and won big time. As usual, my opponents would brand my winning over them as beginner's luck but I don't mind at all.

If I would win something big, I would like it to happen in Las Vegas to make it more memorable. I just hope that they will allow me to shoot a video of me playing poker for the first time but I doubt it that they will. Most casinos don't allow anyone to take videos inside the casino's premises for security purposes. Anyway, if you have any plans of visiting Las Vegas anytime soon, be sure to make a checklist of the things that you need to do. You don't want to end up going broke and make it a very bad experience, do you? Of course not! If I were you, I'd grab a pen and paper and jot the important pointers for a cost-effective Las Vegas trip.

You don't have to stay in those fancy hotels around the casino blocks because you can be sure that they are ridiculously expensive. It's as if you're paying for a month's electricity bill with a 3-night stay. It would so much better if you look for cheaper rooms at least a mile away from the gambling blocks because you can get something as low as $60 per night. You won't be spending too much time in it so it doesn't matter anyway. Just make sure that the room is securely locked when you leave for the bars and clubs.

Another tip is to walk to and from the place where you are staying. Avoid taking taxi cabs because you can be sure that they will charge so much that you'd be better off walking. The casinos and the bars aren't too far from each other so it would be best if you take some good pairs of walking shoes with you. Traffic in Vegas can be crazy most of the time so it means you stay inside the cab much longer than you need to. If you want to save lots of money in Vegas, stay away from cabs.

Finally, most of the hotels will be offering free breakfast no matter how expensive or affordable your accommodations are. Eat as much as you need to make sure you have enough energy for the day. If you think you can get away sneaking some apples or some sandwiches inside your bag, do so. You might need them when you walk from one place to another. And always carry your bottled water to replenish all that sweat that has been lost. No matter how much your budget is, is it always smarter to spend as wisely as you can.
